Sayaka Davis is a clothing and jewellery label based in New York, launched in 2012 by Japan-born Sayaka Tokimoto Davis. Spring is just about on its way here and her clothes are putting me in the mood for summer– I love the simple white cropped trousers and soft floral jumpsuit. She says:
Her central idea comes from Japanese minimalist art, the concept of “spacious beauty”, leaving the blank space rather than filling everything in. This belief is that space defines the object, becoming the subject. Clean, yet modern and unique silhouettes are expressed with a keen attention to detail and beautiful textiles.
