Sorry I’ve been away from the blog for a few days– I came down with a nasty bug and spent the weekend in bed. But hopefully this lovely vintage home in Sweden will more than make up for it…
Located on the third floor of a block in the lush courtyard at Upper Djupedalsgatan in Gothenburg, this home is packed full of original details such as the grand Scandinavian ceramic fireplace and exposed wood floors. It has been tastefully decorated with vintage items and mismatched furniture, and a soft palette of white and green walls, dark grey kitchen cupboards and lots of white. The current owners have installed a line of grey shelving above the industrial white tiles, as well as above the window– a clever solution to eek out as much storage as possible. Putting the shelves up high also makes the kitchen feel spacious- very clever indeed and something I may be copying!
