I’ve already shared one Christmas gift guide on the blog – in case you missed it, there’s 26 beautiful, considered objects for £50 and under in this post here. Today it’s the turn of the little ones. This was partly a means to find my own daughter a sweet, stylish present and when I started to come across cute thing after cute thing, I thought I’d share them all with you!
Now I have Ophelia, I’m much more aware of all the lovely kid’s shops out there and know exactly where to look for neutral toys and accessories. I’ve already written before about how to decorate a home with kids without compromising your style. And gifting for children is no different really. When I’m not searching charity shops for cheap stocking fillers and pre-loved books, I’m looking for toys and objects that will stand the test of time and fit with my simple, honest, eco-conscious ethos. Luckily there’s a wealth of charming gift ideas out there, from wooden toys to minimalist dolls’ houses.
Children’s Christmas gifts don’t need to cost a fortune either. Take John Lewis’ ace wooden toy collection – they have a Nespresso-like wooden coffee machine and cup set, all for just £12.50. My other favourite finds were eco-friendly moulding clay from Charnwood’s Child, for £8.99, and a cute t-shirt for the chocolate lovers out there from Life Store for £15.
