It’s all about the simple everyday moments ✨ home It’s all about the simple everyday moments ✨ home to me isn’t the big makeover projects or grand gestures, it’s not perfect and it’s not a performance, it’s the simple little moments you elevate, with a favourite ceramic cup, home cooking, gathering round the table and an artfully undone table 💚
Little things that have brought me infinite joy la Little things that have brought me infinite joy lately 💫 it’s the small things not the big moments - homemade banana bread, the start of a new book, finally getting round to putting up some family photos (never knowing where to put them), silver shoes which give me a spring in my step, new stationery, beautiful wisteria, and slow days at home 💛 have a great new week everyone! 😘

While she’s doing jumping jacks I need coffee and While she’s doing jumping jacks I need coffee and solar power to get going ☀️🥱 a slow Sunday at home with the sunlight streaming in, a cinnamon bun to share, a little dance, perhaps a few minutes peace if I’m lucky. Nowhere I’d rather be! 🥰
A room of one’s own 💫 I used to hate working in an A room of one’s own 💫 I used to hate working in an office, I could never concentrate, and I’m sure that had something to do with ADHD - I need absolute quiet (even the sound of typing or chewing arghh!!), and I love having a calm, clutter-free space to work in (I can procrastinate clean like it’s a sport). Added these cork boards above my desk and they just complete it nicely, adding just enough detail (for me), a living mood board to change around as I feel like it 💛 happy Friday 🫶🏼
Everything you need to know if you’re deliberating Everything you need to know if you’re deliberating between custom fronts or IKEA fronts 💚 there’s lots of companies now that do fronts to fit IKEA carcasses, you simply screw them on and voila you have a new look! I’ve lived with both and here’s my two cents - custom fronts give you more options to make a kitchen completely your own, with bespoke finishes, wider colour selections, and beautiful details from integrated handles and plywood edging. But it comes at a cost and does it make it any more durable? Scroll to find out what I think. What do you reckon - custom fronts or IKEA fronts? And can you believe it’s the same kitchen??

Also I don’t know why Instagram does funny things to the text when you make a carousel to make it harder to see but here we are!
A house in green 💚 [ad - press stay] of course I f A house in green 💚 [ad - press stay] of course I found somewhere to stay in Whitstable that had a different shade of green in each room! We felt right at home @westcliff.whitstable - a four bedroom Victorian townhouse, a short walk from the beach, designed in collaboration with @helloflorauk and lovingly renovated by its owners into a colourful, cosy family home with a beautiful garden. It’s perfect for families with everything you might need for kids, including lots of toys and games, which was really useful for me as I didn’t have to take everything but the kitchen sink. We felt like Goldilocks deciding which bed to sleep in, I almost got persuaded by my five year old to sleep in a single bed - how cute is the second image!

You can get 10% off a stay at West Cliff on @keeperscottages (always my go-to for places to stay in Kent) using code CATE - not during peak season 💚

Which is your favourite room?
