It’s the US publication day for THE JAPANDI HOME It’s the US publication day for THE JAPANDI HOME, woooooo!!! 🥳🥳🥳 Brits you have a little longer to wait until next week but friends across the pond you should now be able to find my new book in all good bookshops, including @barnesandnoble and @kinokuniyausa 🤍

The Japandi Home offers an in-depth, thoughtful exploration into the aesthetic concept of Japandi, taking the idea beyond the trend to help readers create a soothing sanctuary at home. It’s a beautiful coffee table book to have out on display but it’s also packed with useful, practical tips that homeowners can integrate into their home, with lessons on how to choose a neutral paint colour and how to make the most of a small space, among many others. This book will help you celebrate stillness, find calm in the everyday and seek a more conscious way of living that embraces simplicity, harmony and balance 🌿

A mother daughter weekend in Whitstable ☀️ boo A mother daughter weekend in Whitstable ☀️ booked a super last minute stay to make the most of the sunshine 🙌🏻 and found a cute fisherman’s cottage to call home. This is honestly the sweetest age, when they become curious little companions not just a little body to keep alive and look after - less tantrums and trouble, more cute moments, funny conversations, holding hands, finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, marvelling at the tiniest things, shell hunting, making sand castles, sharing fish and chips on the beach, ice cream dripping down our cones and belly laughs 🐟🍟🍦⛱️🐚 highly recommend a late night scroll through Airbnb and a night by the sea! Also the seaside colour palette 👌🏼🤩

Had a moment when I walked into the kitchen today Had a moment when I walked into the kitchen today and thought oof I love my home 🤩 so I had to get the camera out! I used to be very pared back and minimalist but I’m embracing a bit more ‘stuff’ in the kitchen - I think a home should tell the story of the person who lives there and I want this space to say, come in, pull up a stool, this person likes cooking, there’s cookbooks with turned over pages and good olive oil, and fresh flowers, and favourite handmade mugs to choose from, and plenty of tea, so what’s for dinner? 🫖
It seemed like a good idea at the time… but six It seemed like a good idea at the time… but six months later and I’ve fallen out of love with these shelves. I liked the idea of displaying all my favourite things but found that they just got dusty and dirty (don’t judge!), weren’t very practical and stupid me, I didn’t think that the corner was just at the right height for my daughter’s head to bump (luckily she never did). If I could I would have installed floor to ceiling shelves with an end piece, maybe even something that would go around the entrance into the kitchen, but alas I don’t have the money for that… For now I’ve found something to store all my best glasses and vintage bits and bobs, stay tuned to see what I’ve replaced these shelves with 💚
[Ad] If you know me well, you might already know t [Ad] If you know me well, you might already know that I have a somewhat cautious approach to colour! Subtle little pops of tone suit me well, and of the 18 colours in @bisley_shop collection, Regent has to my favourite. I think of it as a bit like a soft neutral, adding an accent of colour that’s soothing and relaxing. This is the Rowan collection, which also includes a bedside table, three drawer unit and media unit too. It feels weighty and timeless, with solid oak legs and soft close metal drawers I’m still purring over 👌🏼

What colour is the accent colour in your home?

There’s still time to get 15% off home furniture in Bisley’s Spring sale - ends tomorrow 25th April 💚
