[Ad] Anyone else feel like they’re constantly clea [Ad] Anyone else feel like they’re constantly cleaning?? 🧹🧽🧺🧼 Real homes should work hard, but you shouldn’t have to. That’s where @movatech.uk comes in handy, an AI-powered all-in-one cleaning companion; a smart robot vacuum that can not only hoovers, but mop floors too.

It uses powerful suction to lift dirt and dust, even in those little hard-to-reach corners, and heated water to get at stubborn marks. What’s really clever is that it knows the difference between hard floors and carpets, lifting mops to keep rugs dry, and switching between modes as it works its way through a space – ideal if you have an open-plan home like mine. With advanced cameras and intelligent design, the V50 can navigate steps and small changes in level (up to 6cm), and get under low furniture, meaning you don’t have to constantly keep an eye on it or move things out the way.

It just gets on with the job, so you can focus on the little things that matter. Cinderella is no longer on her knees scrubbing the floor and she will go to the ball! 😮‍💨

The V50 Ultra Complete is currently on offer at Currys and Very until 26th June, coming with a three-year warranty - you can find the link on my stories 💚
SKAGEN 💙 you have my whole heart, what a special p SKAGEN 💙 you have my whole heart, what a special place 💫 Skagen is Denmark’s northernmost town, at the top of the Jutland peninsula, an old fishing village known for its signature yellow houses, golden light and the artists that used to gather there in the early 20th century. Much like the Bloomsbury group in England, the Skagen painters were known as bohemians, rejecting the staid trends of the time to paint beaches, fishermen and everyday life. Anna Ancher in particular was known for her luminous paintings that came alive with light (there was recently a v good exhibition of her work at London’s Dulwich Picture Gallery). You can visit her house, still left exactly as it was, as well as the excellent Skagen museum. Skagen is a very unique place that will leave you inspired and restored 💙
Here’s some other highlights:

- visit @skagensmuseum, Anna Ancher’s house and Drachmann’s Hus (you can get a combined ticket for all three) 🪑
- @saxildskagen for generous open sandwiches 🦐
- Apéro for French antiques and a drink on the side 🥂
- Skagen bageri - best bakery in town 🍞
- Walk to the end to the coast to Grenen where to seas meet (I got halfway before a storm stopped me in my tracks) but you can also see seals and stop at restaurant Blink for lunch (it closes at 4pm though) 🌊

[Ad] A classic piece of Danish design, forgotten i [Ad] A classic piece of Danish design, forgotten in the archives for 50 years - Hans J. Wegner’s CH20 Elbow chair, brought back into production by @carlhansenandson, was designed as a single prototype, part of a series of experimentations of what he termed ‘round chairs’. Back in the 1950s it seemed like an almost impossible task to create a backrest from one solid piece of wood, but today with more advanced production, the backrest can be steam-bent and carefully refined to create that signature sweeping curve. I was very lucky to see the chair being made when I visited the Carl Hansen factory on the Danish island of Funen a few years ago - it really makes you appreciate the thought and finesse that goes into a single chair. Still as timeless today. You can read more about it on my blog - catesthill.com 🪑

Possibly the best Airbnb I’ve ever found - Danish Possibly the best Airbnb I’ve ever found - Danish cottage core in the sleepy seaside town of Skagen, right at the northernmost tip of the country, where two seas meet and the northern light attracted artists to gather 💙 a little part of me healed and restored hiding away here, where there was good coffee, a good book, candlelight and fresh sea air. In the run-up to Copenhagen and 3 Days of Design, I’d been struggling a bit and I didn’t think I’d actually make it there, I really thought I would have to cancel last minute so it felt like some sort of miracle to actually get there and enjoy it! Turns out I just needed to escape it all and be by the sea 💙 I’ve got so much to say about this special place, not least the art, so more to come! 💫
[Ad] A moment for these stills and time to stop an [Ad] A moment for these stills and time to stop and pause with @furniturevillage SS26 look Nature’s Zen. A calm, Japandi-inspired corner needs three key elements – texture, soft lighting and nature. It’s all about embracing simplicity, harmony and balance in a considered way. Every armchair (especially a soft, squishy one like the Aura chair) needs a side table (seen here the Pearla matt table), whether it’s for a cosy lamp (like the Blanche table lamp), a pile of books, a candle or just somewhere to pop your coffee cup. The dark wooden arms tie in with the bronze finish of the table, while the organic forms create a feeling of rest and relaxation. Now all that’s needed is a coffee and a phone put on silent. Head to Furniture Village to discover the Nature’s Zen look 🌿 #FurnitureVillage #MyFVHome #NaturesZen
For the next part of my trip I travelled from Cope For the next part of my trip I travelled from Copenhagen to the city of Aarhus, Denmark’s second largest city. En route to my next stop in the far reaches of the country, this was more of a stopover, but it’s a place that deserves more attention. Even if I saw it in the drizzly rain, it was lovely - it has one of the most beautiful cathedrals I’ve ever seen, coffee shops to rival Copenhagen, and an art gallery with a colourful Olafur Eliasson installation on the roof.
- I stayed at @sofshotel which was very cosy
- a proper Scandinavian breakfast @lacabracoffee
- a mooch in @raastedstore and @balsalen
- a glass of wine @barvorres
Next stop - the sea!! Can’t wait to show you more as I meander the 8 hour journey up to the north of Denmark ❤️

Thanks to @livingroomdanishly and @myscandinavianhome for giving me some tips ❤️
