Everything you need to know if you’re deliberating Everything you need to know if you’re deliberating between custom fronts or IKEA fronts 💚 there’s lots of companies now that do fronts to fit IKEA carcasses, you simply screw them on and voila you have a new look! I’ve lived with both and here’s my two cents - custom fronts give you more options to make a kitchen completely your own, with bespoke finishes, wider colour selections, and beautiful details from integrated handles and plywood edging. But it comes at a cost and does it make it any more durable? Scroll to find out what I think. What do you reckon - custom fronts or IKEA fronts? And can you believe it’s the same kitchen??

Also I don’t know why Instagram does funny things to the text when you make a carousel to make it harder to see but here we are!
A house in green 💚 [ad - press stay] of course I f A house in green 💚 [ad - press stay] of course I found somewhere to stay in Whitstable that had a different shade of green in each room! We felt right at home @westcliff.whitstable - a four bedroom Victorian townhouse, a short walk from the beach, designed in collaboration with @helloflorauk and lovingly renovated by its owners into a colourful, cosy family home with a beautiful garden. It’s perfect for families with everything you might need for kids, including lots of toys and games, which was really useful for me as I didn’t have to take everything but the kitchen sink. We felt like Goldilocks deciding which bed to sleep in, I almost got persuaded by my five year old to sleep in a single bed - how cute is the second image!

You can get 10% off a stay at West Cliff on @keeperscottages (always my go-to for places to stay in Kent) using code CATE - not during peak season 💚

Which is your favourite room?

Sometimes I wish my holidays looked a little more picture perfect 2.5 family with a mum and a dad, but I also cherish these special moments just me and her, especially when I have friends that have become family and come along too! Five is such a great age and she’s becoming such a sweet buddy. These are the good times 🥰

I’ll be sharing where we stayed shortly, along with a Substack guide for Whitstable so you won’t want to miss is 💙
