We made it guys!! ☀️ Beltane is a Celtic festival We made it guys!! ☀️ Beltane is a Celtic festival marking the beginning of summer and the blooming of life, it’s a reminder to reconnect with the natural rhythms of nature and find hope in this new season 🌿 [ad - press event] Under a canopy of blue sky, @ffern.co celebrated May Day - and their uplifting new Beltane fragrance - in style, with giant handmade puppets, folk music, green banners, summer florals and a joyful spirit. Now I’m ready to jig right into summer!

This had to make it to the grid, if only for my ow This had to make it to the grid, if only for my own memories 🥹🥰 narrated by my five year old daughter - just wait until the end, it’s not what I expected but my heart burst into a million little pieces!! 💓

Honestly children will love you whatever, they’ll tell you you’re beautiful whether you’re bleary eyed with no makeup or if you’re all dressed up. We could all learn a bit more from their big hearts! Here I am, in my old childhood bedroom, with my old wedding dress still hanging up on the wardrobe behind, single and going through a divorce, and you know what I’ve never had so much love in my life. I’m so loved and I’ve somehow created a gorgeous little girl who is so smiley and positive and full of love, despite two happy but separated parents and I’m so damn proud of that! 🥰

Spring ikebana-inspired florals 🌼 I had a larger b Spring ikebana-inspired florals 🌼 I had a larger bouquet that was getting a bit past its best, so I took the freshest stems and created this little arrangement using a shallow vase and a Japanese flower frog, otherwise known as a kenzan, to keep the stems upright and in place. What I learnt about ikebana for my book The Japandi Home is that it’s all about balance and asymmetry, you don’t want it to look like a perfect arrangement - even though carefully placed, it needs to look a little natural and sculptural, as if arrangement itself is alive and has come from the ground. What do you think? 💚
