Little things I did last week to fill my own cup - Little things I did last week to fill my own cup -
- treated myself to a new shirt that was a bit more expensive than I’d usually buy 👕
- got my cultural fix at the new Serpentine pavilion by LANZA Atelier and admired the beautiful furniture 🪑
- took myself out for dinner when a date cancelled (twice 🫠)
- did a shoot that was out of my comfort zone but did it anyway 💪🏼

Happy new week everyone 💚
I was always told buy a house with a south facing I was always told buy a house with a south facing garden. When I looked at this house it didn’t tick all the boxes and I wasn’t quite sure. There wasn’t much on the market though so it was more about getting the worst house on the best street. Now with this heat it’s not so bad having a north-east facing extension! The new extension never gets too hot and seems to maintain an even temperature, even with all the glazing and the skylight. The garden doesn’t get the evening sun but it gets more sun than I thought it would, especially first thing in the morning, and we’re surrounded by foliage which I think helps cool things down. The kitchen is in the middle of the house, sandwiched between the living room and extension, so never gets too hot. The only problem is my bedroom at the front. But overall, ten years later, I think I made a good decision! 💚

[Ad] Anyone else melting?! Like a pale English ros [Ad] Anyone else melting?! Like a pale English rose, I do not cope well in the heat and this British heatwave has got me good – so together with @pandalondon I’m sharing three tips for beating the heat and sleeping better this summer. In my old Victorian terraced home, the heat rises and my bedroom is the hottest room in the house, so I need all the help I can get – from swapping to Panda London’s lightweight summer duvet and their cooler, breathable bamboo bedding (not to mention it’s thermoregulating and hypoallergenic, and gets softer with every wash), to the fan hack that actually works (I couldn’t believe it!) and an instant win for kids rooms that saves me in the summer. And if you need me, I’ll be in a dark room with my fan on full blast!

Summer moments so far 💫 this girl can’t hack the h Summer moments so far 💫 this girl can’t hack the heat 🥵 my brain has melted and I can’t function 🤪 you’ll find me indoors in front of a fan 😮‍💨 everyone said don’t buy a north east facing house but luckily that means with these rising temperatures the downstairs stays relatively cool. My south facing bedroom on the other hand 😬 how’s everyone doing? 💚
[Ad] Anyone else feel like they’re constantly clea [Ad] Anyone else feel like they’re constantly cleaning?? 🧹🧽🧺🧼 Real homes should work hard, but you shouldn’t have to. That’s where @movatech.uk comes in handy, an AI-powered all-in-one cleaning companion; a smart robot vacuum that can not only hoovers, but mop floors too.

It uses powerful suction to lift dirt and dust, even in those little hard-to-reach corners, and heated water to get at stubborn marks. What’s really clever is that it knows the difference between hard floors and carpets, lifting mops to keep rugs dry, and switching between modes as it works its way through a space – ideal if you have an open-plan home like mine. With advanced cameras and intelligent design, the V50 can navigate steps and small changes in level (up to 6cm), and get under low furniture, meaning you don’t have to constantly keep an eye on it or move things out the way.

It just gets on with the job, so you can focus on the little things that matter. Cinderella is no longer on her knees scrubbing the floor and she will go to the ball! 😮‍💨

The V50 Ultra Complete is currently on offer at Currys and Very until 26th June, coming with a three-year warranty - you can find the link on my stories 💚
