We All Need Words at the School of Life

This looks like a fantastic intensive workshop from my nearby School of Life on Marchmont Street.

Here is what The School of Life say:
This isn’t your usual creative writing course. It’s not for aspiring novelists. This is a day for anyone and everyone who wants to get the best out of the things they write all the time. We’ll help you write dating profiles that get dates. CVs that turn into jobs. Twitter updates that get retweeted. Facebook status updates that aren’t just about how many cups of tea you’ve had today.

Copywriting duo Rob Mitchell and Molly Mackey from We All Need Words are in charge. They will squash everything they know into the session and give away the tricks they learned in their day jobs. They’ll show good and bad writing from brands, children’s books and cookbooks, and they’ll explain what makes them work – or not. You’ll get plenty of chances try out their tips and it definitely won’t be a grammar lesson.

Oh and a word of warning: at the end of the day, people often tell us they think their arm might fall off because they haven’t used a pen so much for a long time. But you’ll also leave with a spring in your step, armed with lots of useful techniques, a shot or two of inspiration and new-found writing confidence.
