Stop Look Listen: Three things to do this week

Yay, it’s the weekend again! And this time I have some fab events for you, from an exhibition of Bernd and Hilla Becher’s black and white photographs – their first solo show in London since 1998 – a chance to dust off your sketchbook and pen and get drawing, and a street festival on an independent London high street. Over the past five decades Bernd and Hilla Becher have become among influential figures in contemporary photography, famous for their images of industrial structures. This exhibition is their first solo show in London since the Camden Arts Centre in 1998. What: Moleskine City Stories
Where: Covent Garden, London
When: September 6, 11.30 am – 5.30 pm

Global artist collective Urban Sketchers is calling on the creative community to take ownership of their city by sketching its streets. At an all-day event in London’s Covent Garden, they’ll be live-sketching the streets of this historic quarter, inviting you to join in with your pencil, brush or drawing tool of choice. The Chatsworth Road Festival is back again this year, with a dog show (judging, amongst other things, dogs who look like their owners), live bands and sound systems, Pimp my Bike workshop and a slow bike race as well as street food, a Beavertown beer bar and a cava bar serving into the evening.
