Until the 26th March, the art gallery, Paradise Row in Soho, will be showing an exhibition titled ‘People in Trouble Laughing Pushed to the Ground’ by Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin. This installation explores their ongoing theme of the limits and possibilities of photography in the form of meaning, reproduction and re-representation. For this exhibition Broomberg and Chanarin have used archival footage from ‘Belfast Exposed’ from 1983. Their work gives the photographs new meanings and interpretations by cropping and mounting the image into tax-disc sized apertures.
