This budget hotel in Berlin by German designer Werner Aisslinger, has been designed to feel like an accessible and warm place to stay; an experience which draws parellels to staying at a friend’s house. A existing factory building was converted into the hotel and decorated with designers Anja Knauer and Sibylle Oellerich, who scoured local flea markets to find individual and unusual items for the bespoke rooms. As Tom Michelberger says, “Perfection does not create memories, because memories only result from movement, from a lively experience of interaction – with people, the surroundings and the atmosphere.”
