Reminiscent of Robert Smithson’s Spiral Jetty and Richard Long’s installations, Jim Denevan’s work consists of these temporary sand sculptures, created with a stick to make vast geometric work. The Santa-Cruz based artist is also a self-taught chef and surfer.
