I recently took a look at the Lumen United Reform Church near where I live in Bloomsbury. The existing 60s building was renovated by architects Theis and Khan in 2008.
The centre includes a new accessible entrance, a community cafe, a sacred space, church and three community spaces as well as ancillary accommodation. The centre piece though, is the ‘Ray of Light’, a white cone in the centre of the church for more intimate reflections and worship.
