There’s some really exciting things going on in February and here’s my pick of the best for this week.

What: Wishbone
Where: Brixton
Designed by Shed Design, Wishbone in Brixton Market offers up honest simplicity in the form of fried chicken. Chicken nuggets come breaded and fried with ‘salt ‘n’ pepa’ or Thai-style dressing, you can also get quarter or half chickens, buffalo wings or a chicken sandwich. Look out for the artwork on the walls by graffiti artists Paintshop Studio.

What: Man Ray Portraits
Where: National Portrait Gallery, London

This exciting exhibition is the first major retrospective of Man Ray’s photographic portraits. Focusing on his career in America and Paris between 1916 and 1968, the exhibition highlights Man Ray’s central position among the leading artists of the Dada and Surrealist movements. It shows the people he met along the way and the friends he made, including: Marcel Duchamp and Pablo Picasso, Kiki de Montparnasse, Lee Miller and Catherine Deneuve. The exhibition also touches on his published work in leading magazines such as Vogue and Vanity Fair.

What: We Made That- The Open Office
Where: Architecture Foundation, London

London-based architects We Made That will be taking up residence in the Architecture Foundation Project Space to run The Open Office, a new practice for urbanism. Operating on a walk-in basis, The Open Office will run daily activities and research projects as well as a programme of talks, design reviews, debates and film screenings.
