What: Monocle cafe

The long-awaited Monocle cafe has finally opened in London, just around the corner from the magazine’s HQ and Monocle shop. Check out the interior, with mugs from Hasami, furniture from Truck of Osaka, lamps from Manufactum, and sample coffee from Allpress on Redchurch St and Japanese pastries by Masayuki Hara of Lanka.

What: Pick Me Up: Graphic Arts Festival 2013
Where: Somerset House, London
When: Until April 28
The UK’s original contemporary graphic arts festival is back for an 11-day celebration of graphic art, design and illustration. In addition to showcasing and selling original artworks and limited-edition prints from the industry’s elite and emerging talent, each day the festival is running an eclectic mix of quirky family workshops, lively evening events and creative forums.

Record Store Day celebrates its sixth anniversary this Saturday. Independently owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music with special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products, as well as special performances from artists.
