Nendo has designed a cute-as-a-button table collection for Walt Disney, Japan based on Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Inspired by the stories in Hundred Acre Wood, the tables use maple wood and come in different shapes and sizes to recall each of our favourite childhood characters. Coloured knitted swatches on different parts of the table subtly hint at the distinctive clothes, hair and tails of the various characters. And it is remarkably effective, I’m guessing Eeyore is the grey knitted table, with a downcast side at one end, while Winnie the Pooh is the biggest of them all, with a curvaceous round top.
