Objects by the Republic of Fritz Hansen

This week marks the start of Salone del Mobile, Milan’s annual furniture fair and design week, for which design aficionados descend on the glamorous Italian city to check out the latest designs, swill down prosecco and snack on gelato. I’m not there but I did want to bring you some new product launches that have caught my eye and flashed up in my inbox…

One such highlight is the Republic of Fritz Hansen’s new accessories line Objects. It comprises twelve beautifully simple designs for the home by the likes of design duo Studio Roso, Wednesday architecture and Spanish designer Jaime Hayon. Just like the Danish brand’s furniture, the new pieces show an attention to detail and a focus on materials that are appealing to touch. Designed to engage the senses, the objects range from a solid brass candleholder and molded veneer tray table to soft cashmere throws and sculptural tea trays.

Says Fritz Hansen,

‘Objects is a unique collection of design items that reflects our passion for good design with a purpose. Like our furniture, Objects is a statement that can add a touch of Nordic lifestyle and playfulness to your home. Objects will never dominate but simply complement your space.’

So get your wishlist at the ready, I think you’re going to love these…

There are 12 designs in the Objects range for now, but plans are evolving for new items to be added over time, and I for one can’t wait to see what they add next. Yes please to cashmere throws and mid-century tray tables!

In the meantime, which object catches your eye?
