Every year the run up to Christmas seems to go quicker than ever and I’m always scrambling around at the last minute for presents. I’ve had plenty of moments spent down the high street on Christmas Eve! This year I’m determined to plan ahead and tick a few things off my Christmas list so I’m not stressed or overwhelmed by it all.
Atelier Rosemood – a young French company specialising in the creation and production of personalised stationery – has some beautiful personalised Christmas gift ideas that will no doubt wow your loved ones. They’re all about ‘giving gifts that matter’, offering high quality prints, photo books, notebooks, Christmas cards and advent calendars with a thoughtful, personal touch. Their unique designs, all printed on FSC certified paper, can be curated with your own images and text using their online personalisation tool. Capturing special memories forever, the result is something that can be appreciated this Christmas and for many years to come.
Every year as part of my husband’s Christmas presents I create a photo book of our favourite moments from the past year. It’s such a lovely process; going through my camera roll and picking out the best bits, and remembering all those precious moments together. I know without a doubt these albums are the one thing I’d save if our house was burning down; they mean so much to me. And now we have another reason to celebrate the passage of time and make sure these photo books endure for the moments to come – our little Ophelia. I can’t wait for her to treasure these albums too and show them to her children, and her children’s children.
It’s also one of my favourite occasions at Christmas too – when we sit down after lunch, when the presents have been opened and the wrapping paper discarded, when we still have our Christmas paper hats on and perhaps a mince pie or two, we’ll share the album with family and all look through it together. It’s just such a wonderful feeling to see the smiles on everyone’s faces. Hands down, these photo books are the most talked about and best remembered presents. Last year we sent an album to missed family members when we couldn’t all gather for Christmas and I know it meant the world. It’s such a thoughtful thing to receive, especially when you can carefully plan and curate each page.
I previously showed you a peek into our first photo book for Ophelia (see the post here). Atelier Rosemood have just released a new version of their popular fabric photo book that allows you to mark the moment with your favourite photo on the cover. Available in three timeless colours and three formats, their debossed fabric photo book is finished in luxurious Italian fabric and traditional sewn binding.
With up to 122 pages available, you can curate each page of your photo book to suit your style and selection of photos. Atelier Rosemood have a great planner and album builder on their website, or you can also build your photo book on the go using their mobile app. They have different layout options, which allow you to add up to nine images per page.
The finishing touch is the personalised title on the spine that is applied letter by letter using copper hot foil stamping. They even do a luxury gift box to store it in – perfect for personalised Christmas gift ideas!
This year Atelier Rosemood have two personalised advent calendars to choose from. What’s better than chocolate? Your favourite moments from the past year, bound to make you smile every day in December.
This elegant foil stamped advent calendar, designed by Atelier Rosemood’s in-house design team, features a simple winter foliage pattern and 24 openable windows to personalise with photos or text. The outer sleeve is made from high-quality 100% recycled paper and comes with a pre-cut hole ready for hanging.
And once the last window has been opened on the 24th December, you can take the photo collage out from the advent calendar and have it framed – truly a gift that keeps on giving.
I think it’s such a lovely tradition to send physical Christmas cards; they have so much more meaning than a simple email or text and it’s always nice to have them up in the house during the festive period. I’ve never thought to send personalised Christmas cards but with our first year with a baby, it felt like the perfect excuse.
We always get black and white photo strips whenever we see a vintage style photo booth and we’ve built up quite a collection. This one, when we managed to squeeze both dog and baby into the booth, is priceless. I’ve recreated it so everyone else can enjoy our silly faces using one of Atelier Rosemood’s bookmark cards. I chose the Liberty Leaves design with its delicate fern pattern and detachable bookmark. You can personalise the design using their online tool and add a single photo on the back with a Christmas message. I love the idea that friends and family might then be able to pin the bookmark on their fridge after Christmas.
I also chose the minimalist It’s Cold Outside design to capture one very cute winter bear. Designed exclusively for Rosemood by Le Collectif, it’s available as a folded card or postcard, with beautiful calligraphy writing. It makes it so easy having everything printed with text, all you have to do is add the name of the recipient.
I’ve got a few Christmas presents sorted and can’t wait for the big day to see the looks on everyone’s faces. The photo books capture the emotion of a wonderful year forever and I hope the cards will bring a little joy through the post. They certainly made me smile making them.
