Stainless steel bookcase, £299.99, Zara
Metal is having an interiors moment right now, from wall shelves to side tables. I spotted this steel bookcase from Zara on Pinterest and it instantly caught my eye, because well, it doesn’t look like it’s from Zara! It’s got the look of a mid-century modular shelving unit, but updated in sleek, matte metal.

Khaki abstract print trim slipper boots, £19.99, New Look *aff
I’m definitely starting to feel the shift in seasons, and I’m actually quite looking forward to autumnal walks and cosy days. Not to be a granny but I’m in need of some new slippers and these faux fur lined boots look like just the ticket to see me through winter and beyond.

Kally wall lamp in green, £99, Kave Home
OK, so you know I have a bit of a thing for the colour green –understatement of the year… – well I love the simple silhouette of this green metal wall lamp. It also comes in black, blue, white and red, and has a rotating arm so you can adjust the direction of the light. Perfect for positioning over a sofa, armchair or cosy corner.

Tekla x Artek limited edition bedding, from £31, available from Tekla
My favourite Finnish brand Artek has collaborated with Danish company Tekla to release a limited edition collection of bedding in celebration of Aino Aalto’s 130th birthday. Like many female designers of her era, her name got somewhat left behind in history – I’m sure you’re more likely to have heard of her husband and design partner Alvar Aalto. Aino was also an architect and together with Alvar Aalto, Maire Gullichsen and Nils-Gustav Hahl, founded  Artek in 1935. Aino was mostly responsible for the interior design of architectural projects, and designed everything from lighting to textiles for Artek.

The Tekla x Artek collection features a delicate Kirsikankukka (cherry blossom) motif, inspired by a silk fabric that was given to Aino Aalto by the wife of the Japanese ambassador to Finland in the 1930s. The lightly stonewashed cotton percale bedding comes in a couple of colourways: white, blue and pink. I don’t think it’s hard to see which is my favourite!

Kartell Componibili storage in matt green, £141, Royal Design
A follower alerted me to this one, so thank you to them because it’s right up my street! Design store Royal Design has collaborated with Kartell to create an exclusive edition of the Componibili storage unit in a beautiful pistachio green. The simple design was originally conceived by Anna Castelli Ferrieri in the 1960s. I already have two of the smaller units in white, which I found secondhand on Facebook marketplace. This version is made of recycled thermoplastic technopolymer, produced from industrial waste.

Draped wool jumper, £97, Arket *aff
It’s pouring with rain as I write this and I’m feeling the need to get all my winter jumpers out again. I love the high neckline and twisted detail on this rib-knitted wool jumper. Perfect for my staple winter wardrobe of a cosy knit and jeans.

John Lewis ANYDAY Format Filing desk, £189, John Lewis*aff
I think this desk is an absolute steal for under £200. It features plenty of storage space and comes in a neutral greige that will go with everything. There’s also a separate filing cabinet and chest of drawers, as well as a compact desk that’s just 50cm in depth, making it ideal for small spaces.
