I am very much looking forward to going to the Royal Academy this summer, for the annual Summer Exhibition, which showcases a wide range of new and recent work by established, unknown and emerging artists, architects and designers. They always have a striking installation or artwork in the Annenberg Courtyard, and this year it comes courtesy of American artist Jeff Koons. Colouring Book consists of a highly reflective stainless steel sculpture with brightly coloured swirls, which make it look almost transparent in some lights. The piece is part of his Celebration series, exploring Koon’s interest in society’s obsession with infantilism and youth, which was recently displayed on the roof of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
