I’m a big fan of Pinterest- I use it all the time to share my visual inspiration found across the internet and to inspire myself to make my home as lovely as it can be. It is my visual moodboard, a never-ending source of beautiful and creative ideas. With that in mind, here are five of my favourite pinners…
1. Beth Kirby- Local Milk Blog
Tennessee-based Beth spends her days writing, taking photographs, cooking, baking, planner dinner and workshops and heading up the beautiful Local Milk Blog, which features super healthy and homely recipes, Kinfolk workshops and candle-lit dinner parties. She says: “Working as a freelance writer, recipe developer, stylist, and photographer, making the business of everyday living not just beautiful but interesting is my raison d’être.” She has a staggering 85,000 pins, ranging from her work and the Local Milk blog to delectable sweet treats, laid-back street style and homes packed with flowers, natural materials and handmade earthenware. Sarah is a Belgian designer living in Berlin, who has a blog called Coco Lapine where she shares everything that inspires her, from smart Scandinavian interiors to black and white photography and modern objects for the home. Her pins also have a black and white palette and Scandinavian influence, which heaps of grey (my favourite colour) and modernist furniture. Follow Sarah on Pinterest here.
James Kicinski McCoy is a writer and photographer, product designer and the editor and blogger of Bleubird blog, who lives with her husband and four children in Nashville, Tennessee. She started her blog in the winter of 2008 as a companion to her then clothing store, Bleubird Vintage, but the blog soon made a name for its self, and now features style posts, beauty recommendations, recipes and even a knitting 101 guide. Her pins are natural and laid-back, featuring a lot of white interiors and casual street style. Follow her on Pinterest here.
4. Mina Moka
Berlin-based Lena, the writer behind Mina Moka, is freelance screenwriter and script consultant with a family background of artists and designers. She says: “MINA MOKA was born after a trip to another life in another world. After living in a small Balkan town for more than two years I felt it was time to have a place and space to share the more visual part of my life.” Her pins range from illustration and modernist graphic design, to design objects and DIY projects. 5. Ming Zhong
Thailand-based Ming Zhong’s profile on Pinterest doesn’t really tell much about her, but from her pins alone, I can tell she is one stylish lady. Her pins feature cute fashion and ever cuter brassieres, white bedrooms and just a hint of colour, with beautiful spring blooms. Follow her on Pinterest here.
