What: London Coffee Festival
Where: Old Truman Brewery, London
When: Sunday April 6

Returning for 2014, The London Coffee Festival celebrates London’s bustling and vibrant coffee scene. This year the festival will feature over 250 artisan coffee and gourmet food stalls, tastings and demonstrations from world-class baristas, interactive workshops, street food, coffee-based cocktails, live music, DJs, art exhibitions and much more. Visitors will also gain access to Milk & Sugar, The London Coffee Festival’a new feature showcasing London brands spanning from fashion to design and food.

What: Martino Gamper: design is a state of mind
Where: Serpentine Gallery, London
When: Until April 28

In this exhibition Gamper presents a landscape of shelving systems, telling the story of design objects and their impact on our lives. The pieces of furniture, arranged around the outer walls of the Serpentine Sackler Gallery, date from the 1930s to the present day and range from historic design classics and one-off pieces, to industrial, utilitarian, contemporary and newly commissioned work.

When: Sunday April 6

Hackney Flea Market is all about the thrill of finding some personal treasures in a creative, and vibrant space. Expect to find a hall brimming with Vintage Clothes, 20th Century Furniture, Records, Scandinavian Glass & Ceramics, Jet Set Junk, Handcrafted Jewelry, Salvaged French Homeware, Antique Luggage, Curiosities & Collectables, Honky Tonk Textiles, Reclaimed Industrial Fixtures, Mid Century Danish Decor, Atomic Era Electricals & Beautiful Handmade Goods. Music is an integral part of the market, the sound system is sometimes manned by local DJs playing vinyl rarities, or they compile playlists which are an eclectic mix of rare and obscure musical treasures, so expect a quality soundtrack to your visit. Images: Lola Rojo
