I’m very excited to say that I’m off to Australia for three weeks for a much-needed holiday and dose of vitamin D! There’ll still be a few posts going live on here while I’m away, but I thought I’d leave you with some of my favourite picks from #thesimpleeveryday hashtag on Instagram.
The hashtag has now been going for two months (you can see my favourites from September here) and we’re nearly up to 500 images! I love checking the feed each day, being surprised and inspired by the delights it holds. I’ve discovered new accounts I didn’t follow before, gained new perspectives of everyday moments and got to see a little of the world through other people’s very imaginative eyes.
This month, as the days have been getting colder and the evenings darker, there’s definitely been an autumnal feed to the images. Just looking at them makes me want to curl up on a cosy sheepskin rug, put the candles on and sip a steaming mug of hot coffee, gazing out at the wind rustle leaves outside. I’m fearful that this word is going to become much too overused, but there is a little bit of hygge about them…
As a reminder, #thesimpleeveryday is all about seeking a moment of calm in the mundane of the everyday – to take a moment out of our busy schedules to simply slow down and appreciate the little things. If you find such a moment and would like to share it, simply upload an image onto Instagram and tag it with #thesimpleeveryday hashtag.
I’ll be sharing my favourites once again on the blog next month and can’t wait to see what inspires you.
